How to install Intel Rapid Storage Technology with Windows 10 clean install

Hello whoever is out there who can assist me,

 

My Windows 10 OS running Raid-1 and an older version of Rapid Storage Manager (RST) was running fine until the OS got corrupted/infected. I decided to perform a clean install of Windows 10. However I can't seem to get the user interface display for RST ver. 14.8.0.1042 to display after reloading the OS and running CLI_x64.zip.

 

I am not certain that the rstcli64.exe executed...the exe seemed to progress about 3/4 of the way to completion before hanging for over 2 hours. When I walked away and came back later, I did not see the progress bar and assumed that the app finished loading. However there is no Intel app on my app menu.

 

I assumed that the app did not load and double clicking on the rstcli64.exe no longer brought up an installation dialogue box. So I decided to reload the OS. I downloaded f6flpy-x64.zip and placed it on a USB stick where I unzipped the file. This USB stick was inserted into a USB 2.0 port along with another USB stick containing Windows 10 pro OS.

 

During the clean re-install of Windows 10 pro, I noticed that at no point in the OS installation was I prompted to install the contents of f6flpy-x64.zip (did I do something incorrectly? I guess I am saying that I really don't know how to install f6flpy-x64.zip prior to installing the OS. Can you provide instructions on how to install f6flpy-x64.zip?  Intel did not provide adequate instructions on how to load this file prior to loading the OS). And will properly installing f6flpy-x64.zip solve my problem of getting the user interface display for RST ver. 14.8.0.1042 to display after reloading the OS?

 

Please HELP. Thanks.

 

P.S., I have an ASUS Sabertooth Z77 mobo w/ an Intel i7 3770k cpu.

Hello everyone!

My config is Z97 + i7-4770 + Windows 10 x64 TH2. The UEFI & OROM version in BIOS is 13.0.0.2075 (latest available from a manufacturer site). I was able to find that this release is initial for 9 series chipsets.

But I was unable to find corresponding OS drivers and RST of version 13.0.0.1098. And they do not officially support Windows 10 TH2 (Windows 10 at all). Windows itself comes with built-in 13.2.0.1022 driver which does not have OROM/UEFI part and RST software. MB manufacturer provides driver and RST ver. 14.5.0.1081, but it requires OROM/UEFI 14.5.0.2241 (that can be learned from Intel site). I was trying to update BIOS manually with 14.5.0.2241 with partial success - everything worked fine except Dynamic Storage Driver disappeared from RST (14.5.0.1081) and who knows what else was going on behind the scene. So I reverted everything back with a stock firmware (which contains 13.0.0.2075).

And finally, first and latest driver/RST which officially supports Windows 10 TH2 is 14.8.0.1042 (OROM/UEFI 14.8.0.2377).


Could anyone help me to solve this puzzle choosing best driver/software option for my setup?

Matrix Storage Manager XPS 420

Hello there

 

One of two drives have failed in XPS 420 and am replacing both with identical to original size 750 GB. However, when new disk is physically added, Matrix Storage Manager option ROM v7.6.1.1001 replies when option 1 “Create volume” is selected: “[Error] Not enough available space to create volume”. This, regardless of physical installation. It appears this version was problematic, but can’t seem to find recommended method or release(s) by which to safely update. In other words, is it safe to move directly to 9.6.0.1014 from v7.x, or step to intermediate releases, and which is release is ultimately recommended?

Chipset drivers x5 8300

I'm looking for chipset drivers that work (and are intented to work) on systems that are using the latest of the intel atom's available e.g. the intel atom X5 8300...

 

I've (and i regret it now) to do a fresh install of my voyo v3, i've got some drivers, like wifi and such, yet the wont work if i dont have the rest of the framework (the chipset..)

 

Since I dont have a working internet connection on the device, I cant quite use the update tool to get stuff working...

 

obviously its a cherry trail, who can lend me a hand a link me the correct drivers (chipset)

Hi

I have just updated from windows 7 to 10 ( beginning to wish I had not)

My storage controller is Intel(R) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller

My Processors are 2 x  Intel(R) Core(TM)2cpu 6300 @ 1.86GHz

My Disk Drives are indicated in Device Manager as Intel Raid 1 Volume

The Raid Volume has operated perfectly well as a Raid level 1 mirror until update

At Boot the Raid indicates status as Verify

When I try to start up the Intel Matrix Storage Manager Consul I get the error message-

'Raid plug-in failed to load because the driver is not installed correctly'

I have tried to update drivers via device manager to be advised driver is up to date

I have tried to update drivers automatically via the Intel Download Centre but this fails to detect any drivers

I have downloaded f6flpy-x86.zip from the Intel Download Centre but am not certain this is appropriate for the Matrix Storage controller

but if it is I do not know how to install it.

 

Please can some one advise me - how can I resolve?

I have a DH67CL motherboard and the Disk Controller ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R/DO  is at version 8.6.2

I would like to update it to version 10.5 if possible but have not been able to do so. What download should I use and how do I install it?

My system is configured with the above SATA controller and its configured with two 2 TB disks running RAID1. Driver Intel version 8.6.2.1315. Win7 64 bit

 

Also configured and running well with an external 2 TB drive via eSATA which is only for data, no booting.

 

Its all working fine!

 

I need to replace the external eSATA with a 4 TB eSATA drive, still only for data, no booting.  Will format as GPT.

 

Will this new configuration work?   I would like to avoid updating drives etc as my system is working fine today

I have a problem with the IAStorDataSvc. When i boot the system the process needs about 20% of the CPU. It seems to be a known problem and caused very often by an old driver.

 

HP  Pavilion Dv7 with Window10 (64bit) (Updated from Windows 7)

Intel Rapid Storage Technology Version 11.0.0.1032

IAStorDataSrv is running in 32bit

 

Whats now the way to update the driver ? The Intel(R) Driver Update Utility 2.4 will not show a possibility.. The latest versions seems to be 14.8.0.1042 (Drivers & Software). I can downlaod the zip file and than? There is no setup or something like this. Take the 32 bit or 64 bit version ?

 

For the moment I will stop all the time the IAStorDataSvc process in the taskmanager and the system is still running, but I think this is not the proper solution.

Where i can find and download latest chipset drivers for motherboard "ECS G33T-M2"?

On manufacturer's site i can download drivers only for Windows XP/VISTA, but i need drivers for Windows 7 (x64).

Two of my HDDs are clicking and have an excessive load-unload cycles.

 

I'm running 2x Samsung F3 1TB (HD103SJ) in RAID-0 using Z97 chipset Sata 3 ports.

 

My MB is a ASRock Z97 Extreme6, HDDs firmware is 1AJ10001. MB Bios is P1.33.

 

I had 13.1.0.1058 RST driver and installed 12.9.2.1000 but the issue persisted.

 

I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit running on a Samsung 830 Series 256GB SSD, I also have two more HDDs, one Seagate 3TB and one Toshiba 160GB... No issues with these drives.

 

On my previous setup I was using these HDDs on a X58 chipset Sata 2 ports, also in RAID-0 mode, Intel RST 11 and got no issues.

 

I think the drives are going idle too fast, because when I need to open or seek for something on the drive, the click starts.

 

I don't know if this is a BIOS problem or a Intel RST problem, I don't know for sure, but when the computer starts, during post I can hear the click (only once, if I go to UEFI there is no click there and the drive is detected by BIOS).

 

I tried some troubleshoots, configured (advanced power management, automatic acoustic management, sata aggressive link power management, windows power management) but nothing worked : (

 

I'm kinda desperate because I have one "click" each 10 seconds (approximately), it means 3600 load-unload cycles in 10 hours!

 

For now I made the disks off-line through Windows disk management, until I figure out some solution/workaround.

 

I appreciate any help you can give!

 

UPDATE!

 

The problem was solved by installing Intel RST 12 series drivers, power off, disconnect the PSU cable, connect the affected hard drives on another Z97 Sata port and power on the computer.

 

If I install Intel RST 13 series driver the issue will return, is this a bug with RST 13 series? I don't think my HDD spending one load/unload cycle each 10 seconds is normal.

Rapid Storage on Windows 10 can't update or uninstall.

I have Asus X550L Windows 10 laptop. Previous it runs Windows 8.1 pro. After I updated to Windows 10 (using Windows Update), now I can't update or uninstall Intel Rapid Storage application. It gives following error. Although, still I can open Intel Rapid Storage Techonologyv13.2.4.1000 application from start menuas well as notification area.

Rapid Storage Email - No Authentication? REALLY?

Does Intel really think there are still lots of SMTP servers out there that don't require authentication?

 

I went to setup the email notifications in the Rapid Storage Technology software today after recently having a drive fail in the array and found no way to enter a username and password for the SMTP server to send through it...

 

Really? SERIOUSLY?

 

That's stupid...Does anyone know of alternate software (from Intel or not) to manage an Intel controlled array with PROPER email notification setup?

Intel(R) System Usage Report hogging CPU

A few days ago I noticed that Intel(R) System Usage Report (esrv_svc.exe) consistently uses 25-28% of my CPU at all times. This started sometime in the past few weeks, though I am not sure when. I have 4 threads, so I wonder if it is hogging a whole thread. I am not sure what this process does, or even if it is for my i3 CPU core, or my Intel HD Graphics 3000 card. I have the 7 series C216 chipset family. However, I am certain it doesn't need to be as active as it is.

 

I have Windows 8.1 64-bit. I will provide any other relevant information if needed.

i have running Windows 2008 Server (32bit) on my new Dell R220 with a C220 chipset.

 

Is there anything to solve the missing Drivers in device Manager? They are marked with a yellow exclamation mark.:

- SM-Bus-Controller

- USB (Universal Serial Bus)-Controller

The current inf update Utility says something like "Operating System not supported..."

 

 

Also Dell does not Support this latest 32bit Server operating system. Thanks for any tipps.

PROBLEMI AGGIORNAMENTO USB driver e il driver Chipset

Buonasera,

a seguito di aggiornamento automatico del sistema operativo Windows 7 Pro 64 bit  il mio pc non riconosce più dalla porta usb la tastiera e mouse wireless Blue Tooth della Logitech.

Il supporto della Logitech mi consiglia di aggiornare  l'USB Driver e il Driver Chipset del mio PC ( scheda Intel).

Ho scaricato dal sito della Intel l'utility per l'aggiornamento dei driver: ho lanciato l'utility la quale mi richiede di aggiornare il driver chipset alla versione 10.0.27 .

Ho fatto il download , ho lanciato l'aggiornamento ma lo stato resta su "non riuscito".

Ho provato anche a scaricare il file direttamente sul PC e lanciarlo ma , dopo il processo di installazione che sembra andare a buon fine, risulta che il driver non viene effettivamente installato.

 

Qualcuno mi può aiutare  a risolvere questo problema?

Ora sto utilizzando il PC con le vecchia tastiera e mouse  a filo con attacco PS/2 standard.

 

Resto in attesa.
